As we mentioned before, there is no possibility of going back to its usual October release schedule as it happened with seasons 1-3.
Season 4 has just been massively delayed due to the pandemic and will not start air until May 2021. As a result, The CW did not begin airing on the CW until December 20, 2021. At that time, it was only for the Christmas episodes.
Dynasty Season 5 Netflix Release Date (Speculation)
Netflix Life reports that the season 5 finale will likely take place on Friday, July 29 if the season is not anticipated. Typically, CW shows release new seasons on Netflix eight days after the season finale airs on the network. This would put Dynasty Season 5 on the platform on Saturday, August 6.
If the season doesn’t make it to this date due to anticipation, we’re still expecting season 5 to hit Netflix in August. We’ll let you know if that changes. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more CW news and coverage!
When will Dynasty season 5 arrive on Netflix?
The series finale of Dynasty airs on The CW Friday, September 16 at 9/8c. Since August 19, the series has been on a short hiatus, but the last three episodes begin airing on September 2, the penultimate airs on September 9, and the finale airs on the aforementioned date.
Because we know when the final episode will air on TV, per Netflix’s old agreement with The CW, the season will arrive on Netflix eight days after the series finale airs. Dynasty Season 5 will premiere on Netflix worldwide on Saturday, September 24.
Dynasty Netflix Season 5 Release Date Other Regions
Dynasty is like a Netflix Original outside of the US, ie. new episodes arrive the day after they air on The CW. This includes Netflix Australia, Netflix UK, Netflix Canada, all of Europe, Latin America and Asia.
However, seasons 3 and 4 did not follow Netflix’s weekly schedule internationally. So Season 4 was released on Netflix internationally at the same time it hit Netflix US. We expect Season 5 to follow the same release schedule.
When does Dynasty season 6 air?
Unfortunately, Dynasty was one of the big turnarounds at parent company Paramount. Season 5 is the final season. But they had a good run. For a series that often had less than half a million live viewers, it was renewed over and over again. Why?
According to Deadline, who spoke with showrunner Josh Reims, there was never a discussion about ratings. This is because the series was the number one Netflix series in many parts of the world.
