Is the black phone on Netflix?
Netflix subscribers will have to search for the supernatural horror movie on another platform, as it’s not currently available on the streaming giant. If you plan to watch something similar, you can stream “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” or “Berlin Syndrome.”
Scott Derrickson’s director is not available on Hulu at this time. Viewers looking for something similar might enjoy watching “The Lodge.”
Is The Black Phone streaming on HBO Max?
No, Universal Pictures’ The Black Phone will not stream on HBO Max. The streaming platform was also my first guess as it is known for its great featured movies. HBO Max’s collection of horror movies is also vast and diverse. Not to mention, Universal Pictures movies went straight to HBO Max after theaters. Where can you find them now?
Universal Pictures has signed an agreement with Peacock.
This is the streaming platform where you’ll find movies from the production company after they hit theaters, including The Black Phone. Another movie Peacock Premium subscribers have been waiting for is Jurassic World Dominion.
Is “The Black Phone” available to stream?
As of this writing, The Black Phone is still in theaters and not available to stream, not yet, anyway. The film will arrive on Peacock approximately 45 days after its theatrical release on June 24, 2022, as part of a deal between the NBC streaming service and Universal Pictures. There’s no official air date yet, but it’s likely to hit Peacock in August. Other movies like Ambulance and The 355 are also included in the deal.
“The team at Universal Filmed Entertainment Group are fantastic partners and we’re thrilled to bring their incredible list of blockbuster movies and beloved franchises to Peacock 45 days after they hit theaters, and to provide a constant stream of new and original movies exclusively for Peacock customers throughout the year,” Peacock President Kelly Campbell said in a statement, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
What is “The Black Phone” about?
Based on a short story by Joe Hill (son of author Stephen King), the film follows Finney Shaw, a shy but intelligent 13-year-old boy, who is kidnapped by a sadistic killer (played by Hawke). and imprisoned in a soundproof basement where screaming is When an unplugged phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
Derrickson decided to make “The Black Phone” after stepping down as director of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” co-writing the script with frequent writing partner C. Robert Cargil.
